Just 8 miles from junction 14 of the M4, this 17th Century Inn occupies a prominent roadside site in the village of Froxfield, on the A4 between Hungerford and Marlborough.

Since becoming a Free House it has been extensively refurbished. Upstairs there are 7 comfortable ensuite bedrooms, whilst downstairs the bar restaurant has plenty of cosy corners as well as larger areas for bigger parties and functions.

Outside there is a large garden with a stream, duck pond and two car parks, one each side of the pub.

Food is freshly prepared from local produce and ranges from pub classics with a twist, to modern European dishes. Lovers of good drink will also find a choice of micro or regional brewer cask ales and wines supplied by an independent wine merchant.

Stay for a few nights and explore the lovely local countryside or pop in for a drink or meal with friends. You will find a warm welcome in comfortable surroundings here.

The Bear Hotel at Hungerford is one of the oldest and most historic Inns in England and is reputed to date back to the 13th Century.

A Grade I-listed Tudor property steeped in history.

Gothic romance, lip-smacking scandal and a murder tradition worthy of the stateliest Tudor pile: there's little to touch Littlecote House. With its Dutch Parlour, Cromwellian chapel and nearby Roman remains, the Littlecote story is a millennia-old journey through regal antiquity.
Clevedon is a beautifully refurbished period family home, conveniently located in Hungerford High Street. Hungerford High Street is a pretty tree lined street close to the Kennet & Avon Canal and main line railway to Paddington, Reading, Newbury and Newbury Racecourse.

Clevedon is decorated to a very high standard and has 2 double bedrooms both ensuite. This historic house has records dating from as far back as 1344, when John O Gaunt granted the people of Hungerford grazing and fishing rights.
